DYLON Fabric Dye

Instruction for use

1. weigh dry fabric. Wash thoroughly and leave damp
2. use rubber gloves, dissolve dye in 500ml warm water (40^oC)
3. fill plastic container or stainless steel sink with approx. 6L warm water
4. stir in 250g (5 tbsp) salt, add dye and stir well
5. submerge fabric in solution and stir for 15 minutes
6. stir regularly for another 45 minutes
7. rinse fabric in cold water
8. wash in warm water and dry away from direct heat and sunlight

Helpful hints

• you will need 250g salt
• 1 pack dyes up to 250g fabric (approx. 1 shirt) to full shade or larger amount to lighter shade
• wash separately for first few washes to remove any excess dye
• color mixing rules applies (e.g. blue color dye on red fabric gives a purple outcome)
• dyes well on cotton, linen, silk and rayon. Wool and or other natural fibre blends with polyester will dye to a lighter shade
• not suitable for fully synthetics or fabric with special finishes
